A huge congratulations to current student Ellen Watson, who has been shortlisted by deafblind charity Sense for an award in the category of ‘young deafblind person of the year’.
Ellen is a committed and inspirational campaigner and fundraiser for a number of different charities, and works hard to raise awareness of Usher Syndrome and deafblindness. She also works as a Teaching Assistant with children with sight and hearing loss and has provided inspiration to many young people struggling to come to terms with their condition – and all of this all alongside her university studies with us.
To be shortlisted for this award is a great achievement, and we would like to congratulate Ellen once more.
