David Reynolds (Cambridge): ‘The Great War and the British Problem, 1914 – 2014’

December 16, 2014 @ 4:15 pm - 5:00 pm

Why do the British have a particular obsession with the Great War?

In this centenary year of the outbreak of the conflict, David Reynolds draws on his book ‘The Long Shadow’ and related BBC2 TV series to reflect on the legacies of 1914-18 and the way in which the war has been memorialised – trying to set the British experience in a European context.
