PhD Funding Workshops

We are delighted to advertise two workshops on applying for PhD funding, organised by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities,

Dr Clare Griffiths shall be involved in the workshop on 10 December, so we’re encouraging historians to sign up for that session if possible. Registration is through a Google form linked below

The workshops will be held on the 3rd and 10th December for students applying for PhD funding. There is also a range of funding opportunities available to students in the departments of Archaeology, English, History, Languages and Cultures, Music, and Philosophy.

Come along to a workshop to find out more!

The workshops will include:

  • information on the full range of scholarships available
  • details of how to apply
  • one-to-one guidance from our expert staff on how to write the best possible funding application

Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. To register for a workshop, follow the link below:

You will need to bring a 500-word proposal for your PhD project with you to your chosen workshop.

Please note that you do not need to be holding an offer of a PhD place to attend a workshop, but you will need to be holding an offer before you are able to submit an application for funding. You are advised to apply for your PhD place well in advance of the funding application deadline of Monday 2nd February 2015.
