Manchester and Sheffield Americanists

This is a new network for American Historians in the Midlands and North that has come out of discussions among faculty at Manchester and Sheffield. Postgraduate students are welcome to join the network and present. If you would like to come along to one of the events, or want to be put on the mailing list, please email Andrew Heath at a.d.heath@sheffield.ac.uk.

Upcoming events:

26 January, 2011

2.30-5.00 Jessop West Seminar Room 2, University of Sheffield

From the station, get the city centre-bound tram to University Supertram stop. Cross over the tracks to the shiny new building opposite the Henderson's Relish factory. Seminar room 2 is in the green wing of the building on the second floor.

For more information, or to obtain precirculated papers nearer the time, please contact Andrew Heath at a.d.heath@sheffield.ac.uk.

27 January, 2010

3.30-5.30 Poetry Centre in the Samuel Alexander Building, University of Manchester

Discussion of precirculated papers from Dave Brown and Natalie Zacek (both Manchester)

Papers available from Andrew Heath (a.d.heath@sheffield.ac.uk). We'll be meeting in room A4 of the Samuel Alexander Building on the 27/1 at 3.30pm; if people enter from Burlington Street (the north entrance, with the large portico), they should walk into the foyer, go to the door to the left, and walk to the end of the corridor - A4 is directly to the right.
